Welcome to Friends of Townsend Fire!

At the last membership meeting it was announced that there would be a pending vacancy on the FOTF Board.  No formal resignation date was given as it was unknown at that time, and the Board had not met since the pending resignation was given.

We now have a formal resignation date of September 15, 2026, earlier than anticipated.  The Board met on August 18, 2026 and reviewed the vacancy procedures. 

The Board is asking anyone who is interested in being considered for the vacant FOTF Board position (volunteer) to submit their name and a short bio of their background and how it would benefit FOTF Board of Directors.  It was determined that we would seek  names until the close of the next membership meeting, Saturday September 19, so that everyone has time to think about the position and ask questions at the next membership meeting.  The Board will be meeting on September 21, 2026 to review, discuss and hopefully select from the candidates who have submitted their name.
